Craic Map started with a simple question: where can you find a proper Irish pub, no matter where you are in the world? Whether you're an expat missing home, a traveller looking for the craic, or just someone who appreciates a well-poured pint in good company — this is for you.
We're building the most complete, community-driven directory of Irish pubs on the planet. Every bar on Craic Map is verified, tagged with features you actually care about (live music, food, outdoor seating, trad sessions), and plotted on an interactive map so you can find your next local in seconds.
From Dublin to Dubai, Boston to Bangkok — if there's an Irish pub, we want it on the map.
Built by the people who love these pubs. Anyone can submit a bar and contribute.
Ask our AI for personalised recommendations, build the perfect pub crawl with walking routes, or find the best spot for live music tonight — all tailored to where you are.
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. Accuracy matters.
Craic Map is run by James, an Irish founder based in Ireland. It's a side project built out of frustration with the scattered, outdated, often unreliable lists you get when you search for “Irish pub near me” in a city you don't know — and a belief that there's a better directory waiting to be built, one verified pub at a time.
If you spot something wrong, or want to suggest a pub we've missed, the fastest way to reach us is admin@craicmap.ie.
Not every pub with a Guinness sign outside is an Irish pub. We're pretty strict about that.
For a place to make it onto Craic Map, we look for some real Irish connection — whether that's Irish owners, trad music nights, GAA on the TVs, Irish food on the menu, or just a pub that genuinely feels tied into Irish pub culture.
A place called “The Shamrock” with green walls and no other Irish identity probably isn't getting listed. A neighbourhood bar run by an Irish family with live trad sessions and a properly poured pint probably is.
Every bar on the site has been through a multi-step verification process before it goes live:
We'd genuinely rather know. Closed pubs, relocations, changed hours, missing features, wrong photos — anything. Email admin@craicmap.ie with the pub name and what's off, and we'll update or remove the listing. Corrections from pub owners are welcome (and checked).
